Beyond Seduction (Bastion Club #6)
by Stephanie Laurens
Mass Market Paperback

These are one of the books I bought from San Francisco. I have two copies, because my daughter liked the cover and I liked the cover and we both got one. We didn’t know we bought the same book. I am pretty sure my daughter picked this book up because it’s blue. She loves blue. Blue on her ceiling, walls and just about everywhere.

Did you notice my new header? My friend Cathy made that for me. The background, I got that from photobucket. I don’t know much about template and stuff. I know just enough to mess up my site. So, if there are glitches or any problems you have with my site, please let me know. It seem to work find in my computer.

Product Description

In a moment of recklessness, Gervase Tregarth, 6th Earl of Crowhurst, swears he’ll marry the next eligible lady to cross his path. Cloistered at his ancestral castle in Cornwall, with nary a suitable woman for miles, he never expects he’ll have to fulfill his pledge, at least not until the London Season begins. But then he meets his neighbor, the very appealing Madeline Gascoigne.

Years of secret service to the Crown have taught Gervase the value of always having a loophole—there will be no wedding if he and Madeline are incompatible in any way. So he sets out to prove that they would make a most dreadful match . . . by luring her into his arms and, ultimately, his bed.

From their very first kiss, Gervase discovers that the headstrong and independent Madeline is no meek country miss . . . and that the fire between them will burn long beyond that first seduction.

Go and play. Thank you!

Hi everyone, it’s Carrie J posting again! As usual I’m screwing up some of the formatting but what can you do? Just sign up for the book if it sounds good and be happy! :P FYI the winner of the Lori Foster book never sent in their address (or I never got it), so it is still sitting forlornly on my shelves. I think Kat was the alternate winner, so if you email your address the book will be sent as soon as possible!

It’s been a long time since I read this book, but if you like historical romance with a splash of mystery I think you’ll really enjoy the read. I’m wondering why I never read more of this series, because it is actually pretty fantastic. I’ll have to look into that…

From Publishers Weekly
“It’s a sad day when, having survived everything the French could throw at us, we, England’s heroes, return home-only to face an even greater threat,” laments Tristan, fourth Earl of Trentham, to his fellow ex-spies after they return from war with Napoleon to discover the sword of matrimony hanging over their heads. In response, the titled gentlemen set up the Bastion Club, a retreat where they can exchange intelligence about the eager-eyed damsels who are their latest challenge. This first installment in Laurens’s new series focuses on Tristan, who must wed within a year or support his 14 maiden aunts without his inheritance. Little does he expect to find his future with Leonora Carling, neighbor to the Bastion Club and the victim of several recent home invasions. Intrigued by both Leonora and the suspicious events, Tristan bends his talents to uncovering the mystery burglar and to charming Leonora. Leonora, who has no use for marriage, may be new to the sexual tension vibrating between her and Tristan, but she’s willing to explore further, believing that nothing permanent can come of it. When Tristan insists that she marry him, the battle of wills commences. Fans of Laurens’s popular Cynster (The Perfect Lover, etc.) romances will expect the high adventure and steamy, sensual love scenes that are her signature, and they won’t be disappointed by this solid, if conventional, offering.
