Summer’s so busy, it’s tough to find time to sit on my computer. Also my baby is quite clingy all of a sudden. Most days, I have only time to hold and play with him, plus the other 4 kids. I’ve driven so many times to their extra-curricular activities…it looks like I’m making 4 round trips a day, 5 days a week, making it 20 roundtrips a week. That doesn’t even include maintaining my house and business, too. Thank goodness to my mother for visiting often so I can veg out in front of my computer.

I’ve decided to draw five winners from my numbered free books right now. So, look for your name and e-mail me your shipping address along with the book you won so I know which one to send.

Congratulations Joy for winning FREE 44: Man In Control by Diana Palmer. Diana Palmer will always have a special place in my heart. She writes sweet stories that I read in my teens and pre-teens. I still read her to this day, and even re-read her older books. I think my favorite re-read is Emmett. There’s just something really funny and sweet about this guy. I just love the Long, Tall, Texan series. I think I said that already. :)

What is your favorite Diana Palmer book? Or your favorite book that you keep because you just want to keep it?

Boss Man (The Long Tall Texans) (Silhouette Desire)
by Diana Palmer
Mass Market Paperback
Published in 2005
186 pages

I think it’s because of this series that I got me my own Long, Tall, Texan. I don’t know if I told you this, but there was a year of my life where I read nothing but Diana Palmer. Re-read, and read, and obsessed about which book I don’t have. Now, I think I have all of her books, but I haven’t seen my collection in over a year because when we moved, I put the bulk of my books in our warehouse an hour away. I gotta bring them back here, soon.

So, this book is about Blake Kemp and Violet Hardy. Read an excerpt here.

By the end of the day, Tuesday, she knew she couldn’t stay with him anymore. It was too humiliating all the way around. She was going to have to leave.

Libby and Mabel noticed her unusual solemnity. It got worse when she pulled a typed sheet from her printer, got up, took a deep breath, and walked down the hall to Kemp’s office.

Seconds later, they heard him. “What the hell…?”

Violet came stalking back down the hall, red faced and unnerved, with an enraged Kemp, minus his glasses, two steps behind, waving the sheet of paper at her back.

“You can’t give me one day’s notice!” he raged. “I have cases pending. You’re responsible for sorting them out and notifying the petitioners…!”

Congratulations to Priscilla Norman for being Winner 38: The Wedding in White by Diana Palmer! Please contact me with your mailing address so I can ship this item to you. I fell in love with Diana Palmer’s book when I was 10. I still read hers. It’s a tame love story compared to the newer romances that comes out. Still, I read them because they’re feel-good books.

Btw, does anyone read Betty Neels? She write sweet romances. Be sure to let me know if you’re interested. I happen to buy a lot today. She’s also an author from my childhood.

Man In Control (Silhouette Desire)
by Diana Palmer
Paperback
Published in 2003
ISBN-10: 0-373-76537-1

Diana Palmer is one of my most favorite author from my teenage years. Actually, before I was a teen. I was sneaking in her books to read under my bed. Silhouette in the late 80s is considered a ‘racy’ book with their sexy covers. I love reading her stories of virginal characters and heroes who are absolutely nuts for them. I still read Diana Palmer to these days and collects her books.

Back cover said:
Ever since DEA agent Alexander Cobb had given Jodie Clayburn a Texas-size brush-off, they’d been sworn enemies. But eight years later, an undercover operation brough them back together again. This cynical Long, Tal Texas couldn’t believe the baby-faced schoolgirl was now an understated beauty who electrified his senses and his heart. Or that she’d help him crack the drug-smuggling case that threatened all of Jacobville. Tantalized to the core, Alexander would risk everything to possess- and protect- the untouched younged woman. This fearless secret agen always got his man- or in this case, woman. But this time, would the man in control get caught in his own web of danger…and desire?
